Hopewell's 2020-2021 school year will look very different for students, staff, parents and families. We know that families are needing to make decisions regarding child care, health and safety of family members, and what is in the best interest of each child.
 
With so much unknown and new, please use this form to send the District questions. The administrative team will respond as soon as possible. We will try our very best to provide you any available information that can assist you in your decision-making.
 
We will collect some of these questions and responses in order to create a FAQ for parents that will be posted on the website.

Professional Positions
 

Effective immediately, the Hopewell Area School District will no longer accept paper applications for professional positions. The District is a member of the PA-Educator Consortium of Pennsylvania school districts and intermediate units which serves as a professional clearinghouse for applicants seeking employment. PA-Educator at www.pa-educator.net  is the District's primary resource for professional applications.

 

To apply for professional employment opportunities within the Hopewell Area School District, please follow the directions provided on the PA-Educator website.

All Hopewell Area School District professional positions, unless advertised otherwise, shall be awarded to candidates in the PA-Educator applicant pool. Please do not mail duplicate application packets directly to the Hopewell Area School District. Unsolicited application materials cannot be acknowledged or returned.

As a courtesy to qualified residents and alumni, letters of interest accompanied with a copy of Pennsylvania certification are accepted by mail. However, residents and alumni are also required to register with PA-Educator at   www.pa-educator.net   for consideration for positions.

Bus Drivers - Help Wanted

Substitute School Bus Drivers needed. $20.01per hour (2 hours minimum call out). Will train.

Food Service Substitute Positions - Help Wanted

Hopewell Area School District is currently hiring Substitute Food Service Workers. These positions are on-call positions used for filling in as needed in the cafeterias to cover employee call offs with most shifts being between 2-4 hours per day when needed. Applicants need to be available to work Monday thru Friday, pass state and federal clearences, and be easily reached by phone.

Interested Applicants should apply at the District's Central Office located at 2354 Brodhead Road (in front of the Jr. High School). Any questions, please contact the Food Service Director, Rosann Hindman at (724) 375-6863.

Substitute Teachers
 
Anyone wishing to be a substitute teacher will need to apply through Kelly Educational Staffing at www.kellyeducational staffing.us or call 412-788-4591.  This District will work with substitutes to accommodate schedules as best as possible.
